For comic fans on the east coast, especially those in North Carolina, one of the premier events to look forward to right before summer hits is the annual Heroes Con, put on by a true Charlotte original, Heroes Aren’t Hard To Find, located at the intersection between 7th Street and Pecan Avenue.

Going on 46 years strong from where it all began in 1982, the event caters to so many, from the veteran artists celebrated for their decades in the industry, to those just starting out in bringing their creations to the world, and, lastly but never in the least, the fans. On Saturday, June 15th, the Charlotte Convention Center was filled to the brim with the people whose imaginations burned the brightest in so many shapes and forms, and there’s never a way to capture it all (but we tried anyway).

In our gallery is but a glimpse of what you can expect each season the Heroes Con comes around. If you haven’t gotten a chance to experience this Queen City gem, then hopefully we’ll see you next June for year 47!
