2024, while a truly diabolical year in some respects, was a great one for DJ Spider and friends. At the home base for the Digital Noir series, The Milestone Club, each and every monthly event was a sold-out affair, filled to the brim with cheer-filled faces and a fully lined dance floor in the main venue space. What could be more wished for?

Well, how about one more to clear the path into the next year? The Glam Goth New Years’ Eve was on one end a showcase of Charlotte’s Dark Scene, with many of the event hosts in the Queen City metro area headlining the festive gathering, including DJ Velvetine (Tommy’s Pubs’ Requiem) and Christian Hoefle (of Shadowplay), with Hoefle’s daughter also performing under her moniker, DJ Dil3mma. The other part, which without, all parties involved wouldn’t be able to spin on the main stage, is the dedicated members of the scene itself, all shining brightly in the dark of the venue.

The crowd started to really arrive around 9:30pm, a little sooner than usual peak lines. In the pool of event goers, faces appeared from all over the Charlotte community, from venue owners and event runners of many beloved CLT happenings, to returning guests who call Charlotte’s Dark Scene a home away from home. December 31, 2024 was a night to be remembered not only for capping off a phenomenal year of events, but for celebrating each other and the ties that bind.

Without further ado, check out what went down last night in the gallery below!
