Happy End-Of-The-Week, CLT Scene & Beyond!
We’re a little bit late on getting the newsletter released this time around, but as the show must go on, so too have we come from a little bit of isolation to bring you another set of *Fresh* Tracks from the CLT Scene & News from its artists.
Of the previous week’s tracks, although the single was released back in 2020, we got a transmission from The Wormholes about their latest video for “Temporary Vessel”. Filmed in CLT and along a noticeable spot along the NoDa strip, TWH’s portrayal completely matches their track about the conflict between the “material & meta-physical” worlds we inhabit for a lifetime. How the main subject is torn between searching for happiness and not finding it where others might hit just the right notes for introspection well after the music slows & the credits roll. On our Twitch stream, we had no intention of matching the music so perfectly with a game about trying to find something to hold onto in an increasingly meaningless world; Finji Studio’s “Night In The Woods”. Both the song & game are definitely worth your attention, and can be found at these links.
