What’s going on, CLT Scene & Beyond?
Sometimes we get caught up here in the HQ with life on the outside, and there is NO time worse for life to crash land than a very important week that just passed; the first Friday of the month, better known as Bandcamp Friday.
If you don’t know what the hype is with that particular day, it goes like this; Bandcamp takes one day out the entire month in which they strip any cuts the company would usually take, all in order for the artists on their platforms to receive the full amount of their sales. That’s the good news, but the very good news for listeners in missing a week with the Wrap is on this day, artists plan for it in order to drop many of their new releases. The outcome? 20 different artists, not including our video artists, get to share the same space.
Therefore, let us all dine on this packed-out spread of sound, because whether it’s the first week or the last, we’re always here to support the music that makes up our scene as well as yours.
