What’s going on, CLT Scene & Beyond?
This week, as you’ll see & read about in the upcoming “Scenes From The Scene” gallery article, Skylark Social broke open the gates for one of the first shows that felt normal for us. No masks, and when there was there was respect. No worries, as the crowd rocked out & mashed to the tunes of The Body Bags, Queen City Rejects, and The Fill Ins in a finale to the night. Most importantly, with no foreseeable end in sight; We’ve come to a point where shows in Charlotte are back and we can STOP talking about the past and just look forward for a little while, something we all could use as the transition to “normalcy” goes forth.
With that said, that also means we, as Reporting From 20XX, have to look back one last time into 2020, in order to acknowledge how we did business before, how we’ve evolved, and what it is we gained in the process. With shows coming back on a regular beat and venues announcing openings aimed for the summer, listings are coming back as well, in which you’ll see displayed in our IG/Twitter Stories and on here, with the Weekly Music Wrap. As we’ve taken the Podcast portion & transitioned it into a page of its own for the site, and the Gaming News is still being looked at as those events & organizers are deciding how they’ll go forth, the Music Wrap has space to grow bigger as well as into newer forms, to be announced in the oncoming months ahead.
For now, this week, we’ll be including any show announcements, like the ones below, into our stories on the mornings & weeks before each, & also be included in our highlights section on the IG Page.
For our Artists & Venue Friends; If YOU have an upcoming show, or a full listing for the week or month at your establishment, DM the RF20XX social media pages or send the graphics to reportingfrom20xx@gmail.com so that we may continue to blow up the Charlotte Music Scene from the start!
Audiences, and us on the music side, have found that this could all go away, and as such are going to be looking to areas that they previously might had overlooked, so the time is now to show why Charlotte’s one of the best Music Scene’s on the East Coast!! Spread the love of what you do, and the love will surely come back to you.
With that all being said, come check out what you might have missed in the last week of music releases!!!
